The 10/40 Window is the rectangular area of North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia approximately between 10 degrees north and 40 degrees north latitude. The 10/40 Window is often called "The Resistant Belt" and includes the majority of the world's Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists. The 10/40 Window is home to some of the largest unreached people groups in the world.
Joshua, Tina, and Savanna work along those in impoverished communities building relationship so that the Gospel will be shared and welcomed. They teach English and basic morals and values ( Biblical) within the communities to the children while also doing home visits and providing some very basic needs. Joshua had always said, "you have to silence the rumbling of the tummy in order for them to hear the Gospel message being spoken". This is a must in order for these families to be open to hearing about Jesus, who loves them. The Bible is clear that loving people requires actions such as; feeding, clothing, and even housing (Matthew 25:35-40). In His Heart Ministries takes scripture like Matthew 25:35-40 to heart and puts their faith into action by feeding, education, and clothing the people they serve. In America, Bibles are easily accessible. They sit on our shelves and are rarely read. However, there are thousands of people all over the world who don’t have access to Bibles because they either cannot afford them or in this case, are not offered the opportunity to have them. Here in Thailand, there are 4,000-6,000 Chinese tourists to Pattaya every single day. This presents a unique ministry opportunity because China is a nation that is closed to Christianity and the Bible. Bibles can be produced in China, but not sold. Our team hands out Bibles to Chinese tourists as their groups pass us by. We never force anyone to take a Bible and these Bibles are free to anyone who chooses to receive one. Bibles are just another way we are helping to close the gap within the 10/40 window and make Jesus known unto all the ends of the earth.
